Similarly, women with no close friends had elevated risks of all-cause mortality (HR = 2.20; 95% CI, 1.01 to 4.81; Ptrend = .10) and breast cancer mortality (HR = 4.06; 95% CI, 1.40 to 11.75; Ptrend < .01) compared with those with 10 or more close friends.”
